Midway is an Easy-level boat that is exclusive to the original Hydro Thunder, and was planned to appear in Hydro Thunder 2, albeit, with a slightly modified design.

Very stable and not susceptible to being knocked around by other boats, Midway is another good choice for the beginning racer. Midway¹s weaknesses are its slow booster and Mighty Hull activation times.
Hydro Thunder[]
Midway is stable, has great handling, and is hard to knock around without Mighty Hull, but that is all it has going for it. It is the 2nd slowest boat in the game, with a booster that takes about three seconds to deploy, struggles to gain over the raw top speed significantly without insane amounts of precisely timed Hydro Jumping, and taking a bit of time for the Mighty Hull to activate.
It is one of the three boats playable from the start along with Damn the Torpedoes and Miss Behave.

- In Hydro Thunder Hurricane and Hydro Thunder GO, it is replaced by Vector.
- It is named after Midway Games, the company that created the original game.
- The red stylized 'M' on the hull resembles the one seen on the fictional Mach 5 racing car from the classic Japanese cartoon series, Speed Racer.
- The boat's Browning V-Drive engine is named after Eric Browning, the lead artist on the team that developed the original game.
- Midway and Razorback, in the original game, are Sportsman Class boats, with the latter being a Sportsman S Class.
- Midway is the only one of the nine main boats in the original game to have less than 1,000 horsepower.
